Accessibility Statement

Last updated: March 2026

I am committed to making eplemanski.com accessible to as many people as possible, including those using assistive technology or with visual, motor, cognitive, or other disabilities.

What I'm Doing

  • Using semantic HTML5 elements throughout the site (nav, main, article, aside, section, etc.)
  • Ensuring all interactive elements are keyboard-navigable
  • Providing aria-label attributes on icon-only buttons and non-descriptive links
  • Adding aria-hidden to decorative elements so screen readers skip them
  • Using sufficient color contrast ratios that meet or exceed WCAG 2.1 Level AA
  • Writing descriptive alt text for all meaningful images
  • Ensuring the site is functional and readable without JavaScript for core content
  • Using prefers-reduced-motion media query awareness in animations
  • Making sure form fields have visible, associated labels
  • Managing focus correctly in interactive components like the mobile navigation

Target Standard

This site aims to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Full conformance is an ongoing effort and not a one-time checkbox. I audit and improve the site regularly.

Known Limitations

Some third-party components -- including Stripe payment forms and embedded social media content -- may not fully conform to WCAG 2.1. I don't control the accessibility implementation of these external services, but I choose providers with reasonable accessibility track records.

Feedback

If you encounter any barriers on this site, I want to hear about it. I take accessibility reports seriously and will address legitimate issues as quickly as I can. Please email me directly:

When reporting an issue, it helps to include: the URL where you found the problem, what assistive technology you're using (if any), and a description of what you were trying to do.
