Terms of Service
Effective June 10, 2026
These terms cover your use of eplemanski.com and your purchase of Mankai CRM licenses, the Mankai Photography Theme, and Pro Setup services from me, Elijah Lemanski. Using this site or buying a license means you agree to these terms. They're written to be read, so please actually read them. They're short.
What you're buying
- Mankai CRM and the theme are GPL-licensed software. The code that runs on your server is yours to use, inspect, and modify under the GPLv2 (or later).
- The yearly license fee buys updates and support for the term of the license: update delivery through your WordPress dashboard, and email support during posted hours. If the license lapses, the software keeps working; updates and support stop until you renew.
- Activations: each license covers the number of site activations stated at purchase. Staging and development copies of the same site don't count against you; just ask if you're unsure.
- Pro Setup is a one-time service: I install and configure Mankai with you on your hosting. It doesn't include ongoing site maintenance unless we agree to that separately in writing.
Early access
Mankai is in active beta. It runs real businesses, and it also gets weekly changes. By buying during early access you accept that rough edges exist and that features can change between releases. In exchange, early-access pricing locks in for as long as you keep your license active.
Payments and refunds
Prices are in US dollars. Payments are processed by Stripe or PayPal. During early access, all sales are final; see the Refund Policy for the few exceptions (like accidental duplicate charges) and for what to check before you buy.
Acceptable use
Don't use the site or the software to break the law, infringe anyone's rights, send spam, or attack other systems. Don't resell license keys or represent the software as your own product. That's the whole list.
Your data, your responsibility
Mankai runs on your hosting and stores your business data in your database. You're responsible for your hosting account, your backups, and your own compliance with the laws that apply to your business and your clients' data. I build exits into the software on purpose; please also keep backups on purpose.
No warranty
The site and the software are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, to the maximum extent the law allows. I work hard to make Mankai reliable; I can't promise it's defect-free.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, my total liability for any claim related to the site, the software, or these terms is capped at the amount you paid me in the twelve months before the claim. I'm not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits or lost data.
Trademarks
HoneyBook, Pixieset, Studio Ninja, ShootProof, and other product names mentioned on this site are trademarks of their respective owners. Comparisons are drawn from their public pages, are dated where shown, and don't imply any affiliation or endorsement.
Governing law and venue
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that ends up in court will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts serving Marathon County, Wisconsin, and both of us consent to that venue.
Changes
I can update these terms; the date above changes when I do. Material changes get a note on the blog. Continuing to use the site or renewing a license after a change means you accept the updated terms.
