Troubleshooting
Troubleshooting: Installation, License, and Email Issues
Fix the most common Mankai setup problems: activation failures, missing menus, license trouble, email sync issues, and route problems.
Most support issues fall into a few boring categories: hosting restrictions, cron not firing, email transport problems, or a route that was edited outside Portal Foundation.
Plugin Activated but the Menu Does Not Show
- Make sure you are an administrator.
- Reload wp-admin once after activation.
- Check whether a fatal PHP error is being hidden by hosting.
- Confirm the plugin files actually uploaded completely.
Portal Routes Look Wrong
- Open Portal Foundation and save it again.
- Check that the portal base slug is what you expect.
- Do not manually rename managed route pages in random ways.
- Flush permalinks if WordPress routing is stale.
License Problems
- Re-enter the key carefully.
- Check for extra spaces or wrong domain activation.
- Confirm the server can reach the license endpoint.
- Remember that grace-period behavior exists for temporary connection failures.
Emails Not Sending
If event emails or other notifications are not arriving, first assume mail transport, not template failure. Shared hosting mail setups fail constantly. Use a real transactional provider.
IMAP Sync Is Not Updating
- Check whether WP-Cron is actually running on the site.
- Confirm your communication sync settings are valid.
- Review hosting blocks on mailbox access.
- Manually trigger traffic if the site is low-traffic and cron never fires.
PayPal Problems
- Verify Client ID and environment mode
- Test in sandbox first
- Confirm capture responses are completing
- Check for amount mismatches in booking or billing flows
Galleries or Deliverables Not Visible
- Make sure the correct client user is attached
- Make sure the gallery status is delivered or published as expected
- Confirm the session is linked to the right gallery
- Check portal feature toggles
When to Stop Debugging Alone
If you have already confirmed WordPress version, PHP version, active plugins, your exact error, and whether the issue is admin-only or client-facing, you have enough information to ask for real support without wasting time.
